Random Music Rant II

8:10PM Friday eve...I tried to get to bed early this morning (like 8:30-9AM)...well, try 10AM instead...my body were once again aching like nothing before...I couldn't take a step without my feet killing me...Damn I feel old...but, geeez, I challenge anybody to come work with me...and, then we'll talk...

Well, I finally finnished listening to Elliott Smiths back-catalouge, and I can easily say that "Figure 8" was the one that stuck out the most (excluding his Heatmiser-period)...It has a more "rockier edge" to it, more like Elliotts Heatmiser-period...Close to every track on that album was jaw-droppingly amazing...and, if you don't have his albums already, this is the one to get...(only my very own opinion)...

Otherwise I listened to Babyshambles new album as well..."Shotter's Nation"...and, well, while it's not really horribly bad, it isn't good as well...the songs are solid and so, but, the songs are so even, nothing sticks out immidiately like on their Debut album "Down in Albion" where you have the tracks "Fuck Forever", "8 Dead Boys" and "Albion" that holds up the album really strongly...on "Shotter's Nation" theres...erhm...hmmm...eh...nope...can't recall anything actually...got to listen to it more some other time...

I'm listening to Slowdive at the moment...the funny thing is that they're labeled as a shoegazer band by various websites (including last.fm that I'm using)...and it's nothing like shoegazer-rock...not even close (only heard one track so far that has a lil shoegazer-hints to it)...It's more close to dreamlike popsongs than anything else...

If you wanna hear some real shoegazer rock, listen to Ride, and especially the songs "Leave Them All Behind" from the Going Blank Again album and "Vapour Trail" from the Nowhere album...try find the Smile album as well, where they compiled their 2 first 4-track singles into one album...and finally the bonus-songs from the Nowhere album..."Taste", "Here & Now" and "Nowhere"...and you should be more than satisfied with your daily dose of shoegaze rock...

Yesterday was otherwise a good day...I met up with my girl friend (the one we went through a few blogs ago) to go for a short quick walk and just rant about random stuff...it was great to see her again, it's been way too long since last time (over 1 1/2 weeks)...and even though I didn't tell her, I noticed she got a new haircut...(so, yeah, I did see your haircut, but didn't tell you about it, I know, I'm bad)...

Today I slept away...again...and, I'm just sitting here waiting for it to get time to go to...work...

I'm trying to keep up with a daily blog...it's difficult, since sometimes there isn't anything special to write about, but it feels good to unload all the crap that keeps bugging the inside of you...and, right now it's easier to do this as well, since there's nobody knowing that I'm doing this...yet...(you know, blogging, heh)...unless you got lost in here from a another blogpage...then, you're the only one who knows this one exists as well...

Anyways...I hope to get up to at least 10 blogs before I tell anyone...even though I did make some comments in my girl friends blog (using this user name), which links it directly to this page, if she'd just click on my name...haha...well...let's see how long it takes...heh...

I guess I'm just gonna cut this one right here for now and get back to reality again (read: my other web-pages)...heh...
